Epidemiological evidence suggests people who eat nuts at least five times a week do not weigh more than people who consume nuts less than once a week or never consume nuts. The evidence also indicates that there is a trend toward frequent nut consumers having a lower BMI than non-consumers and that eating nuts regularly may reduce the risk of weight gain.
