Nuts are a nutrient-rich, plant-based food staple, with a relatively long shelf-life. Keep your nuts tasting their best with our tips on storing nuts.
Top tips for storing nuts:
- Remove nuts from plastic bags and store them in an airtight container.
- Keep nuts in the fridge for up to 4 months, or the freezer for up to 6 months.
- Bring nuts back to room temperature before eating them to maximise their nutty taste.
What about storing nut butter?
Keep home-made nut butter at its best by sealing it in a jar or container in the fridge. You can also freeze nut butter for up to 4 months.
