‘Everything bagel’ seasoned macadamias recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (approx. 150 g) raw macadamia nuts
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp dried onion flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp black sesame seeds (or nigella seeds)
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • ½ tsp flaky sea salt

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 160°C for 2–3 minutes.
  2. Toss the macadamias with extra virgin olive oil until evenly coated.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the seasoning ingredients, then sprinkle over the nuts.
  4. Toss again to coat thoroughly.
  5. Arrange macadamias in a single layer in the air fryer basket, using a parchment liner if preferred.
  6. Cook for 6–8 minutes, shaking halfway. Keep an eye on them during the last 2 minutes.
  7. Transfer macadamias to a tray or plate to cool completely. They’ll crisp up as they cool.
  8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
